If you are someone who is willing to start your own business, you need to realize the fact that it usually takes some time and money to get started. There are a lot more expenses than just buying the stuff you need, and you need to keep in mind that it might take some time for your business to start producing any money. If you don’t need to rent an office or a place of business, your expenses are a lot smaller than you would have with paying rent, water bills and electricity. This is the biggest benefit that you get from running an online business, as you won’t have to spend much more than ten bucks a month for hosting and ten bucks a year for your domain name.
Just like with an offline business, online business isn’t about making money without investments, as it takes some money to get started, but it takes a lot more time than you would think. With an offline business you most likely need to get ten months worth of expenses in your bank account before you start; this would be ten months of rent, ten months of electricity, ten months of water bills and insurances, accounting and so on. If you start adding this up it is going to be quite a lot – most likely pretty close to $50 000 depending on the type of business that you are about to start. If you play your cards right you won’t be working much more than eight hours a day, and if you want to save money you will spend ten to twelve hours a day, and you will be making a good income within a year. Keep in mind that all this depends on what you are about to start and how good your business idea is.
With online business you are going to need about a hundred bucks or more to get by a year. If you are working a dayjob on the side this isn’t going to be bad, but you will have to spend four to ten hours a day every day to be able to get a comparable amount to the money that you would get with an offline business. So making money requires investments in any case, timely investments or financial investments.
